What is a Reformer?
The Reformer is one of the core machines of classical Pilates, originally designed with four springs of equal strength and leather straps. Many modern versions have appeared over the years, but the principle is the same: movement built on controlled, functional muscle work combined with active stretching.
Training on the Reformer develops strength, stability and posture while lengthening and shaping the muscles. The movements are precise yet continuous — which is what builds long, toned muscles and a strong core, gently and with low joint impact.
